Successful Sunday

I love Sundays because they start the new week and Im a real advocate of successful weeks beginning with Successful Sundays. Successful Sundays give you a great confidence boost for the week ahead and give you something to build on during your week. After a Successful Sunday, you go to bed smiling and wake up Monday morning smiling and ready to take on the day. I have designated Mondays as Money Mondays because thats when I go to the bank and deposit all my monies from the week and the weekend. Successful Sundays play an important part in Money Mondays... can you see a trend?

Today my hubby and daughter went to help our expecting friends put their baby room together. Baby boy and I spent the day at home. I worked from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and profited $511.50; thats $127.88 per hour (I love what I do and this is why I do it). Successful Sunday. In those 4 hours I did 2 appointments. Sold $1023 of products. Had happy new clients because they took all their products home with them. Booked 3 follow-up appointments and 4 interviews. Got tons of referrals. After that I did 45 minutes of New Consultant coaching. Then I spent the next 3 hours with baby boy. Next, I got on the phone for 90 minutes to book more appointments for the week ahead: 47 phone calls. 16 conversations. 9 appointments booked. 6 follow-up calls scheduled. 1 said no. In the middle, I stopped to give baby boy bathe, breast-feed, and put him to bed. Successful Sunday.

I love living this kind of favored life because I get to live life with my priorities as God first. Family second, Career third. Thats how Mary Kay Ash designed our company and Im a huge fan of it. It is true that you can have it all... and then some. Live life in the favored path. God first, Family second, Career third. You are God's child... have it all; thats His favor upon you.

Lots of love and talk with you tomorrow. Leave me a comment.

I AM BACK

Its been a while but I have continued to write and inspire. A lot has happened since I last blogged. I just checked my last blog date: August 25, 2008. WOW! A whole lot has happened since then and as I think back, here's an update: In July 2008, I decided to start building a Mary Kay business part-time for extra income. In October of 2008, I earned my first car (a Pontiac G6 - EXCITING). December 2008 I finished qualifications to become an Independent Sales Director (the top 2% of the company - AMAZING). I graduated with my PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Loma Linda University (LLU) in May 2009. I accepted a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the School of Medicine at LLU. I resigned the position in October 2009 and decided to go full time Mary Kay. I found out I was pregnant in that same month (Oct 2009). My husband and I met in a near death car accident that same month (October 2009). Can you tell that month was a helluva month? Anyways... God is faithful and He is good. After much physical, mental, and emotional pain that month, I found out our baby survived the accident (God is able). I was in between bed and the rehab for 3 months. I went back to Mary Kay work in January 2010. I earned my second Mary Kay car in March 2010 (a Chevy Equinox - WAHOOOOO). Our baby girl Leanna was born in May 2010. In August 2010, I decided to take my business international and opened Mary Kay Canada. In that month my brothers, hubby, and sister-in-law also hosted an amazing event for my mother's 50th birthday. I spent the next few months traveling to Canada and Atlanta building my business in those areas. In March 2011, I decided to take my business to the next level. In April 2011, our Unit had our best month since we became a Unit. In June 2011, I earned my 3rd Mary Kay car (A 2012 PINK CADILLAC SRX - SHUT UP!!!) and our T.O.P. Unit became a Cadillac Unit. In July 2011, I found out I was pregnant (super excited). From August 2011 to December 2011 I was in and out of the hospital; sick like never before - horrible 'morning' sickness (Yea right! It was ALL DAY sickness). In January 2012 I started driving and getting back to life slowly. Still sick, but much better than before. Also in January I decided to build my National Area by June 30, 2013 in time to debut on stage at our company's 50th Anniversary. In March 2012, our baby boy Lawrence was born (life has never been this beautiful). That same month I jumped back into work. That month we produced 2 new DIQs. And here we are in April 2012. I am BACK! Mentally and physically. Life is good. I am favored and loving it. Join me on this amazing journey as Christian. Wife. Mom. Future National Sales Director, Mary Kay Cosmetics. Mentee. Mentor. Inspirer. Motivator. Dreamer. BEELIEVER.

Denver - Day 1

As u should remember, I was in Denver for ASMS during the first week of June. My love came to spend the last three days with me and if you know Gyasi, you will know thats when all the fun started. We had a Gyasi time (Gyasi means wonderful:)).

Day 1 - we did the tourist thing in Denver. It was my birthday weekend so I got to chose all the places. I chose places we'd both love: 1. Denver Botanical Gardens and 2. Denver Art Museum (we got there 10 mins before closing so we only took outside pics - they changed the times listed on this particular day b/c of a special event).

Of course we had some good food. Gyasi is a breakfast person and he likes non-chain breakfast joints so concierge at our hotel told us about Krameria Cafe, which was voted #1 breakfast in Denver. It was soooo good (but not better than Shari's in Seattle - we still havent found anything to beat that breakfast. So good we did it twice in one trip). Lunch was a sandwich and dinner was hmmmmmm - Copper Canyon at our hotel - Hmm Hmm good. If you are Denver, check out the Renaissance Hotel, Denver. Lovely room, service, and food.

Here are some of our favourite pics form day 1:
